- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪When trying to make an appointment over the phone reception insisted on knowing why I wanted to make the appointment. I refused to disclose the reason as I don't believe I need to give confidential information to a receptionist. I asked for a GP to phone me back if information was needed, I was told this wasn't possible. She refused to offer me an appointment unless I said the reason. I understand surgeries are busy but surely the is a breach of confidentiality? Receptionists are not trained sufficiently to assess whether or not an appointment is necessary.by Ryan DennisAugust 23, 2017
